Dear Arts & Culture Historian
This collection of works which surveys non-isbn (published) and community music
during the chaotic info overload and physical to digital transition of the early 21st century.
The last remnants of obsolete media (recoding formats and their machinery) have been preserved.
The collection can be presented and arranged in many different ways.
This draft information may then be re-presented in any way that is most useful to people.
Your feedback about how this may be is most welcome.
1. The major distinction of works is now between ‘digital files’ and ‘physical artifacts’
artifacts: sculptures, books, paintings, the disappearing unique beauty of obsolete media…
As the artifacts are being digitized, they are being stored more densely, which makes for maximum utilization of the space, but slower physical retrieval time, However, handling the digital copy only is much better from a preservations point of view.
2. The parallel process of new acquisition is continuous, and expansive
3. the third activity is presenting the works in context (significance 2.0 process, relational aesthetics, greater continuum of cultural preservations in the world etc) and then the anthology historic corpus/canon FIN!
Please contact us on any points of this ongoing presentation that seem unclear
